Hotel Biri has joined LifeGate’s Stay plasticLess and Stay for the Planet projects.

Thanks to the virtuous actions implemented in regards to energy consumption and commitment toward sustainability, we have set the goal of reducing our carbon footprint in order to offer our Guests an environmentally friendly stay.
All our staff was made aware of environmental issue: through the Green Path, all hotel staff have been given specific training applicable not only in the hotel, but also in everyday life on issues concerning plastic, water, separate collection, sustainable mobility and food waste.

Our commitment to reduce the use of plastic

Reduction in the use of plastic glasses, plates, cutlery and bags, favoring, where elimination is not possible, recycled and compostable plastic biodegradable.

Use of shampoo and shower gel dispensers instead of disposable vials.

Monitoring and performance of our hotel

We obtained a sustainability rating of 4 out of 5 leaves by adopting these measures:

Energy saving and greenhouse gas reducing by purchasing 100% energy from renewable sources, 90% installation of led bulbs, key card activated rooms and climate control system, charing station for electric vehicles, parking for bicycles and incrementing ride sharing.

Our Guests have the choice of not utilizing our daily cleaning service earing 500 BWR points, with an option to reuse towels and linens. Furthermore , in order to reduce water consumption, double flush toilets and limited flow taps are installed in every room.

For the correct disposal and recycling of waste, there are differentiated collection containers.

To support the geographical area and the local community, the supply of the materials the hotel restaurant utilizes, especially meat, fish, vegetables and wines are produced and distributed within a maximum radius of 40 km

We encourage tours and activities organized by local guides and companies.
